Growing up in the 20th century we sought out water slides in the summer. Sometimes a water slide location might have also had bumper boats. Those always seemed like a consolation. Something to do after you’d exhausted yourself for hours of walking and sliding.

The water slides we went to growing up aren’t around anymore (and bumper boats are quite rare too). If you want to pair your tanning with chlorinated water activities in Missouri beyond the pool these days you find a water park.

Missouri delivers many places to splash around and still slide too at several water parks this season that are ready to open up (or already are!).

There are several other water parks to seek out in Missouri too. The really cool thing about them is many cities and towns have built up their local city park pools to include splash pads, water slides and other features that occasionally get added to the fun. Rolla, Hannibal, Lee’s Summit, Grandview and others have wonderful park pools to enjoy.
