3 Iowa Counties Named Healthiest Place to Live in 2024
Well, looks like there will be more people moving to Iowa in 2024.
A new ranking of The 20 Healthiest Places to Live in the U.S. just came out and lucky for Iowa there are three counties on the list.
Healthiest Iowa Counties
Grundy County, Iowa
Just over 12,000 people in the 2020 census, Grundy County is part of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls, IA Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town comes in at #18 on the list and according to MoneyInc.,
Grundy County has many more excellent features that make it a great place to live. These include above-average schools, many employment opportunities, an affordable cost of living, and many leisure activities for the residents to enjoy in their leisure time.
Bremer County, Iowa
With a population just shy of 25,000 people, Bremer County, Iowa comes in at #17 on the healthiest place to live list. MoneyInc says,
The county has many positives, including highly-rated schools, jobs in many sectors, a reasonable cost of living, and good transport links. It is also ranked as one of the healthiest places to live in the United States, and this ranking is mainly based on the population’s health and the infrastructure.
Sioux County, Iowa
The highest Iowa county on the list is Sioux County at #13. With a population of the biggest of the three counties with over 35,000, Sioux County is known for its high-rated schools according to MoneyInc.
Many of the schools are highly rated, and there are plenty of family-oriented activities to enjoy, so it is a great place to live for families. However, it also suits young professionals and retirees, as there is a strong job market, community diversity, good nightlife, and lots of outdoor activities to enjoy.
