Three Killed in Pike County IL Crash Friday

Three Pittsfield residents are killed in a two-vehicle head-on crash on the Time Blacktop, east of the Nebo Blacktop southeast of Pittsfield just after 5 p.m. Friday.

Pike County Sheriff David Greenwood reports 64 year old Randall Baughman was eastbound when, for an unknown reason, his pickup crossed the center line and struck a westbound car, driven by 71 year old George Ehrheart.

Baughman and Ehrheart were both pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger in the Ehrheart car, 41 year old Margaret Shaver, was pronounced dead a short time later at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield.

The Time Blacktop was closed to traffic for several hours following the crash

The fatal crash remains under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff's Office.
