This Illinois City Was Just Named Most Family-Friendliest
A travel website just claimed the Most Family-Friendliest Town in the state of Illinois, and I have to admit I somewhat agree with their choice.
Travel Pulse just named the 50 Most Family-Friendly Towns in each state and named Chicago for Illinois. Now, I do love Chicago don't get me wrong, but when I am there visiting there really is nothing nice about that city. I am sure residents of Chicago get sick of tourists, but you have to know that when leaving in a big city you are going to get millions of people each year visiting. According to Travel Pulse,
Big cities mean big fun for families and the Windy City does not disappoint. There are endless things for families to do and discover, whether its the Miracle Mile or Lake Michigan.
Now, there are a ton of family-friendly attractions in the big city. Fantastic museums, shopping, Navy Pier, and much more I might put Springfield above Chicago, here's why. Springfield may be smaller sure, but there is still plenty to do from seeing Lincoln's Tomb, Knights Action Park, the Henson Robinson Zoo, and my favorite place to visit Scheels. Again, it may not be the biggest zoo or the biggest amusement park, but Springfield holds its own as being a family-friendly city.
I love taking my kids to both Springfield and Chicago so I guess in a way we are lucky to be able to be close to both cities and enjoy all the attractions in both.
