This isn't like any pizza place I have ever been to, it is a pizza place with Mexican food-style chef work and toppings. The flavors at this unique place have earned it the award for being the Best Specialty Pizza, here are the details...

St. Louis Magazine every year does its A-List awards, these awards are to honor the best of the best in and around St. Louis, and they gave the award for the Best Specialty Pizza to a place called Jalisco Pizza in St. Charles, Missouri. What makes it so unique? On their site they say...

"Leo Ortiz adds slow-cooked birria beef to a traditional cheese pizza garnished with fresh cilantro and onion, and serves it with a flavorful consommé. The signature pizza tastes like Mom’s pot roast with fresh Mexican flavors, layered on a thin, buttery crust. The best-selling combo draws customers from all corners of the metro area to a strip mall in St. Charles’ New Town."

So what is exactly on the menu at Jalisco Pizza? Their menu has pizzas like the Street Steak with Grill beef steak, fresh cilantro, and onion. The Jalisco Pizza with Shredded beef, fresh cilantro, onion, and a side of dipping juice. And the Al Pastor with Marinated pork, fresh cilantro, onion, and a side of Chipotle salsa. We have places here in the Quincy/Hannibal area that are Mexican food/Pizza places where you can get either Mexican food or Pizza but nothing like this! I would absolutely love to try the Al Pastor or the Street Steak pizza from Jalisco's! Do these pizzas sound good to you?
