There is a small town in Missouri home to a pub with legendary food, the food is so good it was named "Best Pub Food" in the Show-Me State!

Let me introduce you to a pub worth road-tripping for, Whittle's Pub & Grub in the small town of Eldon, Missouri. You may have never heard of Eldon before (I hadn't either before researching Whittle's Pub & Grub), but it is located just north of Osage Beach and the Lake of the Ozarks just off Highway 54. Whittle's Pub & Grub won Missouri's Best Pub Food award in 2023, now I have never been to Whittle's but from their menu, I can tell why it won the award.

The menu consists of items like Spicy Corn Nuggets and Tater Kegs which are jumbo tater tots stuffed with cheese and other things. They have tons of different burger and sandwich options like Roast Beef N' Cheddar, the Buffalo Burger, the Whittle's Club, and of course, their iconic Giant Prok Tenderloin Sandwich that can be served original or cajun style. Anytime a small town pub wins a state-wide award like "Best Pub Food" beating g out the pubs in St. Louis, Kansas City, and Columbia, then you know it is a place worth taking a trip to. Or maybe just make plans to pull off the highway before you get into the Lake of the Ozarks the next time you are traveling down there!
