Missouri's Best 2023 Award for the "Best Place for Kids to Have Fun" was awarded to Thouvenel Stables, which is located at the Margaritaville resort in the Lake of the Ozarks. On the website for Thouvenel Stables, they say...

"Thouvenel Stables is located at Margaritaville Lake Resort and is open to the public. Our facilities are fully equipped to accommodate small and large groups. We offer a ramp that makes getting on and off your horse easier and is accessible for ages 7 and up...We offer a wonderful selection of safe, clean and friendly horses. Our facilities are fully equipped to accommodate small and large groups. Our riding stables are open to the public. "

I have been to the Lake of the Ozarks but never stayed at the Margaritaville resort and I have never even visited it, so I was quiet shocked to see that something at the Margaritaville resort was named the best place for kids to have fun in Missouri. But it must be a great time at Thouvenel Stables for them to be out places like Six Flags St. Louis, Union Station, and the St. Louis Zoo, all of which are quite worthy of winning that award from Missouri's Best. But it makes sense that Margaritaville has something really awesome for the kids to do while the parents are occupied by the bar at the pool!
