Teamsters Strike of 10 Roads Express Could Disrupt Mail in Illinois
The Teamsters membership and influence has been growing within 10 Roads Express in recent years leading to a strike this week of over 500 drivers across 8 states.
10 Roads Express is one of the US Postal Services largest private contractors to haul mail, and the strike could very well disrupt mail flow across and through those 8 states, and for the Teamsters that’s the point.
The labor union says its members aren’t being treated fairly by 10 Roads Express. Union members would like more pay, better healthcare and more vacation.
The 500 plus striking workers of 10 Roads Express are in the neighborhood of 20 percent of their drivers.

This is an interesting time for the Teamsters to strike 10 Roads Express. I don’t know the percentage of mail hauled by 10 Roads Express for the USPS, but could that current undelivered mail be hauled by one of the other hauling companies with contracts with the USPS?
Then you have to consider the current climate in Washington D.C. with federal government “norms” being challenged each day by Elon Musk and the D.O.G.E. Is the USPS on the list for D.O.G.E inspection? If so, to shore things up would President Trump insert himself into the situation to either push 10 Roads Express to get to a settlement with the Teamsters, or just cut the company out and find another option.
