According to the post, the reason for the cancellation is due to the rise in cases of COVID-19 in Marion County.

As the number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Marion County, we believe this is the right decision based on the information we have today. The Palmyra Chamber Board of Directors prioritizes the health and safety of our community.

Much like the other events throughout the Tri-States that have been canceled, the committee in charge of the event just wants to keep both venders and participates safe & healthy. Taste of Palmyra was supposed to take place in October, and has not yet be rescheduled for 2021.

For more information on the cancellation of the event you can follow the Palmyra MO Chamber of Commerce Facebook Page.
