Surprising Gift Rules for USPS Mail Carriers in Missouri
The hardest-working people right now are mail carriers and delivery men and women who work tirelessly to ensure your packages get to you on time. So, should you tip them?
YES! Kind of.
The Do's and Don't of Tipping Your Post Carrier
I love putting little snacks and drinks out for delivery men and women and my postman to let them know that they are appreciated for all the work they are doing, but can you tip them?
You can up to $20. According to the USPS states,
Under these federal regulations, carriers are permitted to accept a gift worth $20 or less from a customer per occasion, such as Christmas.
You can accept cash, checks, gift cards, or whatever you like; it just can't be over $20. If you're that person (I have both hands raised) who has been receiving a bit more packages than normal and you want to say thank you it's all good as long as you stay within the parameters that are allowed.
