A friend of mine –(maybe I won’t go that far)…An "acquaintance" of mine has a “friend” who says that he’s gotten his hands on Santa Claus’ planned travel map across Missouri for Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. I don't know how he came into possession of the info, and I'm not sure I want to know. But, here it is...

You might think Santa uses the same path every year, and I get that logic. That position implies that if Santa takes the same path every Christmas across any given state/area/region, his “autopilot” brain can navigate his way while he can focus on delivery details. Makes sense. However, it seems that St. Nick tends to change up his path based upon delivery load and needs, and not being predictable to disruptors and activists.

Years ago, I hosted a Santa-watch in mid-Missouri. Back in the mid-nineties Santa approached Missouri from the southwest, kind of along I—44 from Oklahoma. This leaked hand written note doesn’t follow that path at all. The 2025 Santa path starts in extreme northwest Missouri by Tarkio. Follows the strong winter northwestern winds down towards Kansas City. Then south to Joplin, Springfield, and Branson area. Jolly St. Nick then turns back north through the heart of the Ozarks up to Jefferson City and Columbia. Then remarkably references picking up extra coal. There are large coal deposits in north Boone County and through the northern counties to the Iowa border.

Notice coal deposits in orange. They play a role in Santa's map plan.

Santa doesn’t keep going with the coal to the Hawkeye state. He whips it around and heads back toward the southeast, and seemingly will deliver the extra coal to the naughty list people in the St. Louis area. Then again using the northwesterly tailwinds picks up speed into the southeastern part of the Show-Me State.

This map doesn’t include an approximate "in state" arrival time. This may be because, by the time Santa gets to the middle states of America, he may have been in several situations that have thrown his target timetable off. Again, we’re in “friend of a friend” territory here. So, take all of this with a grain of salt. I thought I’d pass it along though –just in case.
