The first annual "Spooktacular Mouse Race" will be held October 24 at the American Legion in Hannibal, to benefit Landon's Helping Paws.

Landon's Helping Paws is a non-profit group that provides service dogs to children with special needs. Since 2013, Landon's has donated five dogs and has three more in training. Normally a service dog can cost anywhere from $10,000 to $20,000.

Doors at the American Legion will open at 6:00 p.m. on October 24, and the first mouse race will be at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and will be $20 at the door. Attendees are encouraged to wear costumes and brings snacks. The American Legion will be offering all the beer you can drink.
