Quincy Musician Warren Jay Riley Auditions for 'The Voice'

Long time Quincy singer and musician Warren Jay Riley recently auditioned for the popular television show 'The Voice.'

Warren auditioned in Chicago on Saturday, January 18. He joined us on the KICK-FM morning show and talked about the experience.

Warren shared stories about how the auditions were handled in groups and done in front of producers from the show. His song of choice was 'Step By Step,' a #1 country hit by Eddie Rabbit in 1981. Contestants were only given enough time to sing the first verse and chorus of their songs and were required to do them a cappella.

Warren told us it was a great experience and it was important for him to encourage his children to go for what they want, as he did with this endeavor. Hear our interview by clicking play below.
