Pollinator Corridor in Missouri to Attract Fans and Wildlife
Many have gotten onboard with effort to have pollinator friendly plants in our yards and not just grass. These efforts are to give bees and butterflies beneficial places to stop on their paths.

In Western Missouri the state is creating what could affect bee and butterfly patterns with the “Butterfly Corridor”. Along highway 13 for 292 miles (and 26 miles wide), through 13 counties. Connecting from Hamilton, Mo. at 13 and 36 to the southern part of Springfield.

Butterfly houses are nice things to have for tourism. Missouri currently has three of them open (the St. Louis Zoo Butterfly House was still closed following damage from the tornado in May).

In Chesterfield at Faust Park is the Sophia Sachs Butterfly House.
The Dr. Roston Native Butterfly House in Springfield is just over a mile from the end of highway 13.
Finally, the Butterfly Palace in Branson is a jaunt south of 13, but adds a nice finishing touch to the butterfly tour.
Should Missouri be able to create a whole butterfly superhighway for people to drive through it will be quite the eco-accomplishment for tourism and the pollinators.
