National Tom Sawyer Days Is On

With many events being cancelled this year, there is one that is still going to happen, National Tom Sawyer Days.

The event, hosted by the Hannibal Jaycees, will take place June 27th through July 4th with events throughout. Tickets are on sale now for Theory of A Deadman, who will take the stage at Tanyard Gardens on June 27th.  The rock band is known for hits like "Hate My Life," "Angel," and "End of Summer," just to name a few.

There is still not schedule out on some of the popular events that will take placing including the National Fence Painting Competition, and the Hannibal Cannibal. We will keep you posted on when those details are released.

On a personal note, I am so happy that the Hannibal Jaycees are moving forward and having this event. This will be something that we all need and enjoy. There has not been any mention on how they will handle the social distancing requirements, however by the end of June it could be lifting in the state of Missouri.
