Okay, if you're a fan of the movie, "Tombstone," you know that I "borrowed" the title of this blog from the book that Wyatt Earp wrote about his friend, Doc Holliday. This is about the "Doc" that you hear mornings, here on KICK-FM.

The radio Doc, is someone that I've known and had the pleasure to work with for the better part of nearly twenty years.  He's also one of the most humble men that I've ever known.

That's why I'm congratulating Doc on winning the Missouri Broadcasters Association "DJ Of The Year" award for 2012.  The winners were picked by a panel of broadcasters, based on entry samples of their shows. Doc's submission was determined to be one of the best in the state competition.

This isn't the first time that Doc has won. He was presented the award twice before in the yearly competition. Doc would be quick to thank and include all of you that listen to KICK-FM and interact with us on a daily basis for winning the award right along with him, and he'd be correct. But it takes someone to bring it all together, and that's what he does every weekday morning with "the Posse."

I know that Doc would never tell you all of these details about how he picked up the award Saturday night at the annual convention, held at the Lake Of The Ozarks.

And that's exactly why I'm telling you here.

Congratulations, my friend.
