At a press conference Thursday, GREDF officials announced that Kyle Moore will take over next week as only the third president in the 43 year history of the organization.

GREDF’s focus is on attracting talent and retention of the workforce, retaining and growing existing businesses and attracting new businesses and industry to Quincy and the surrounding area.

Moore is less than a month removed from the mayor’s office. He replaces Marcel Wagner, who announced his retirement in February.

The Quincy School Board picked a familiar name to fill a vacancy on the board Thursday.

At a special meeting, the board selected Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Latonya Brock as its newest board member.

Brock fills the vacancy created when Mike Troup resigned when he was elected Quincy Mayor in April.

Brock moved to Quincy from Indianapolis about five years ago. She has been with the Quincy Chamber since 2016, and has served as Executive Director since 2017.
