Fire Monday evening heavily damages a one story residence at 1022 Fulton Avenue in Hannibal.

The alarm was turned in at 9:54 p.m. Hannibal Firefighters arrived to find smoke and flames coming from the house. The fire was brought under control in about ten minutes. The house sustained heavy fire and smoke damage and a neighbor’s truck was also damaged.

Hannibal Police and Marion County Ambulance crews were also called to the scene to assist. An investigator from the Missouri Fire Marshal’s office was called in. Fire crews were on the scene until 3 a.m. for overhaul and to investigate the fire cause and origin.

The fire department says the house was not occupied and that there were no injuries. Investigators say the fire is ruled as incendiary.
