Missouri Log House Airbnb Near Columbia Next to a Quiet Lake

I have to confess that when I think of homes near Columbia, I don't imagine log houses. Perhaps I should reconsider as I found one that also overlooks a very peaceful looking lake.

I found this very pioneer-looking log house on Airbnb hosted by Mallory. Here's a little bit of how Mallory describes the place:

A spacious cabin on 80 secluded acres! An outdoorsman's paradise! Including a 15 acre lake for fishing, canoeing or kayaking (provided), rugged walking trails, lots of space for tent camping, (RV site and fire pits coming soon!)
Cabin comfortably sleeps up to 15 people, and includes wifi, two smart tv's, full kitchen, eating area with wood burning stove, huge great room with bar, pool table and dart board and a beautiful fire place.

It's a neat combination of retro pioneer meets modern amenities. I have many friends that do shopping weekends in and around Columbia especially when it's Fall and there are Mizzou Tiger football games to attend. The cost to stay here is $228 per night as of this writing.
