Missouri Drivers Warned to Stay Off Roads During This Deadly Hour
Getting behind the wheel at any hour can be dangerous, but there is one hour in particular that gets a lot of attention in Missouri.
Between the hours of 3 pm to 3:59 pm, Clunker Junker says this is the most dangerous hour to drive in the Show-Me State. the CDC also reports that car crashes are the eighth leading cause of death among drivers.
The report looked at low visibility at night, glaring headlights, more cars on the road, and a higher number of drunk drivers and based on those results came up with the following results.
Congestion was a big factor when it came to this survey. We are lucky here that, for the most part, we don't have to deal with a ton of congestion. However, for those who live in a big city like L.A., Chicago, & New York it just comes with the territory of living in a major city.
Other Key Findings
September is the most dangerous month and March is the safest. Also, 4 am to 5 am is the safest hour to drive across the country., Makes sense since there are not a whole lot of drivers on the road during that time.
Take your time getting to your destination, put the phone down to eliminate directions, and hopefully, you and other drivers will get to your destination safe & sound.
