Missouri Business with National Reach Closes After 10 Years
Welcome to 2025 where the momentum of business’ closing continues. This time it’s a Missouri business from Kansas City.
Increased costs, cash-flow problems and missed opportunities were cited as reasons for Kansas City Canning Company to stop operating immediately this week.
Existing orders will be filled and remaining inventory will be sold via the company’s website.
Kansas City Canning Company began in 2014 selling handcrafted preserves, jams, specialty pickles, and cocktail goods, and has grown to distribute their products to over one hundred locations including gift shops and grocery stores and markets (all west of KC).
Could the company live on? Perhaps, under different management. Starting now, the plan for Kansas City Canning Co. is to continue packing services for businesses and partners they are contracted with until they find new partners in production and making sure that this situation doesn’t affect other companies negatively.
Should you be a fan and patron of the Kansas City Canning Company's products, get there where you can before they are gone.
