This Saturday one local church is stepping up to help those in need.

The First Southern Baptist Church in Quincy, located at 15th & Harrison, will be handing out free food to those in need. The food distribution will take place this Saturday, March 27 from 11:30 am to 2 pm, or until food runs out. All of the food has been donated by Dot Foods, Hands of Hope, and other food donation organizations. There is no financial requirements or registration, everyone is welcome to come and get what they need.

The First Southern Baptist Church is not the only organization helping the community, the Quincy Family YMCA every Thursday in March will be handing our boxes of food at their locations and a few others throughout the Tri-States. As we see more places open, and people getting back to work and getting vaccinated, there is still a need in our area to help those put food on the table. If you are one of these people never be ashamed to ask for help.
