If you were wanting to head to KC this fall for the Renaissance Festival, you will have to wait until 2021.

Organizers of the festival have canceled this year’s 2020 Renaissance Festival due to COVID-19.

In a statement posted on their Facebook page,

We are profoundly disappointed to announce that the 2020 Kansas City Renaissance Festival will not be taking place this year. We understand the impact of this decision on so many wonderful artisans, performers, participants, volunteers, and countless families seeking a place to celebrate and enjoy a touch of normalcy that our yearly festival tradition brings.

The Kansas City Renaissance Festival is really one event that you should check out if you can, there is so much to do. My favorite, the food, it’s all so good. The festival was supposed to kick off Lavor Day weekend and run through mid-October, but like everything else we will have to wait until next year.

The Kansas City Renaissance Festival will return in 2021 and will be celebrating their 44th Anniversary, and they promise that it will be the grandest Renaissance Festival in all the realm. If you have tickets already, keep them they will be honored for the 2021 dates. The festival dates for next year are September 4th – October 17th; weekends, Labor Day and Discovery Day October 11, 2021.
