June 14th Is Flag Day – Show Your Colors!

Thursday, (6/14) is Flag Day.

Not sure if you're familiar with the history of Flag Day;  I really wasn't.

In 1949, Flag Day was established by an act of Congress. It's not an official federal holiday, but perhaps, it should be.

Is celebrating the American Flag not as important as celebrating Columbus Day, or President's Day? We're not quite certain that Columbus discovered the Americas, and Presidents? Well, they already receive a pension,; is a "day" really needed? They're politicians, after all.

One thing that I know for certain is, many men and women have made, and are making incredible sacrifices for our Colors.

Show your pride in our Country, and proudly display that American Flag!
