These Spine Tingling Rides Will Thrill At The State Fair!

For some, the midway at the Missouri State Fair is one of the best parts of going to the fair. This year, Wade Shows is bringing a great mix of spectacular rides, thrill rides, family rides, and kiddie rides to thrill carnival lovers of all ages.

Regarding kiddie rides, I counted sixteen kiddie and family-type rides that will be at the Fair this year. Included in this list is the Carousel, Bear Affair, Berry Go Round, Dragon Wagon, DodgeEm, The Giant Wheel, the Mini-Himalaya, and the Hampton Umbrella Rides.

There isn't any shortage of classic amusement rides from our youth, either. Dodgem (Bumper Cars), The Super Polar Himalaya, The Spider (Octopus), Centrifuge (Gravitron), Tilt-A-Whirl, and Zero Gravity (Round Up)—most of the classic rides from our youth will be there, including the Zipper.

The most extreme ride coming to the fair is named Extreme! Extreme is a high-flying thrill ride that spins riders 360 degrees while swinging them 50 feet above the midway. It's not my cup of tea, but for those who like to push the envelope, this is a ride right up your alley!

Wade Shows will also bring back its Super Cyclone roller coaster to the Missouri State Fair for those who want some roller coaster action.

For those who like carnival rides but may have trouble with loud music, strobing lights, and the general noise that comes with a stroll down the midway, The Center For Human Services is once again sponsoring sensory-friendly time on the Midway from noon to 2:00 PM CDT on Thursday, August 15, in conjunction with Wade Shows. Unlimited ride carnival wristbands are $35 Monday through Friday, $45 Saturday through Sunday, and $25 on the fair's last Sunday. Family packs of tickets are also available: five tickets for $7, 30 tickets for $35, and 50 tickets for $50. The 50-ticket offer also includes a value book provided by Wade Shows filled with concession and game coupons valued at $30-$40.

You can also save by purchasing your unlimited carnival ride wristbands, which are good for one day of unlimited rides, for $25 through Wade Shows here. Or take advantage of the $37 advance unlimited daily deal, which combines a day of unlimited carnival rides with your fair admission ticket.
