10 Things You Think You Can Recycle in Missouri, But Really Can’t

I was brought up to believe that you should recycle everything you can to avoid creating unwanted waste in a community. That turned out to be true, but I was truly surprised by many things I thought you could recycle in Missouri, but really can't.

There are lots of great resources for things you can and cannot recycle in Missouri. I found some great tips from Bob Vila, Treehugger and city websites like Fenton, Missouri has.  This is not a comprehensive list, but the non-recyclable things that surprised me and might you, too.

There are some other things like old electronics that can't be recycled by many cities, but can be returned to places like Best Buy that offer those services. It's a good idea to check out the Missouri Department of Natural Resources website for other recycling tips to help do less damage to the world around us.
