Ryan Hall’s “Barely There” Winter Prediction for Missouri

Ryan Hall has become one of the most well-known digital meteorologists in the world. His live storm coverage has become one of the most popular events on YouTube and he's just issued his official winter forecast which for Missouri will be "barely there" according to Ryan.

Here's the key takeaway for Missouri. Because of the incoming Super El Niño, the storm track for a majority of the winter is expected to be southern which is why he has much of Missouri in the "barely there" region.

By the way, the NOAA Climate Prediction Center agrees with what Ryan says. Their current 3-month outlook for December/January/February shows that Missouri is in the area expected to see above-average temperatures. That's a great thing if you despise your snow shovel.

I would also like to add that it seems that Missouri squirrels also seem to be onboard for a mild winter upcoming as I've noticed their nest-building seems to be lower to the ground than normal. If you know, you know.

The bottom line is it's impossible to predict specific weather events this many months out, but the patterns that are developing do seem to infer that the storm track patterns during the winter months will be more of a pain for the southern states like Arkansas, Tennessee and parts of the east coast than they will be for Missouri. As someone that does not enjoy spending quality time with my snow shovel, I'm hoping that's accurate.
