Reviewers Say Missouri’s Most Romantic Restaurant is ‘Polite’

What's romantic to one person may not necessarily be for another. However, a collection of online reviews believes it has determined the most romantic restaurant in Missouri and they all agree that it's "polite" - literally.

A few days ago, Yelp shared what their audience believes it the most romantic restaurant in each state. It's based on reviews that are left on their site. For Missouri, the "most romantic" according to Yelp is Polite Society in St. Louis. I checked their Yelp page and there are nearly 1,000 reviews and the average as of this writing is a near-perfect 4.5 out of 5. Nice.

I had never heard of Polite Society, but found that they're located at 1923 Park Ave Saint Louis, Missouri. This is what it looks like from the street.

The official website for Polite Society describes itself as "a warm environment of thoughtful service, exceptional food, drink and company". I would expect them to say good things about themselves since that's business, but the fact that many of the Yelp reviews agree means they must be onto something.

That part of St. Louis in the Lafayette Square area is very historic, so I can see why Polite Society would be considered a romantic destination for many. Is it the most romantic in Missouri? That's up to you to decide as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?
