Dan Bush from Missouri Skies just shared this video on YouTube showing several brilliant meteors that were spotted early in the morning at 1:30 am on August 11, 2023. Stick around until the end of Dan's video as several meteors are shown on the video.

The Perseid meteor shower is always one of the highlights of the year for sky viewing, but even more so this year. Space.com says that this could be what is known as "an outburst year" where up to 90 meteors per hour will be visible. NASA says it could be up to 100.

These are "hot rocks" by the way. Space.com says that each reaches up to 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit. Ouch.

Make sure to keep an eye on the skies especially Saturday night for what could be the best meteor show in recent memory. Oh, and make sure to follow Dan Bush and Missouri Skies on YouTube as he often shares cool and educational videos like this.
