
Ice Cream Sold in Illinois Recalled Over Possible Metal Risk
This is the time of year when it's very common to include ice cream in any grocery store trips you make. That's why it's important for you to be aware of an urgent product recall if you've picked up ice cream in Illinois recently as there's a concert that it might contain metal fragments.
This bulletin has just been shared by the US Food & Drug Administration. It's a voluntary recall that's been initiated by the company out of an abundance of caution. The advisory comes from Straus Family Creamery. There are several flavors of their ice cream which have a potential presence of metal foreign material. This ice cream was widely available in 17 states including Illinois according to their statement. Here's an example of what one of the containers looks like.

The good news is there have been no injuries reported as of the date of this writing. If you find that you have this ice cream, you are urged to not consume it. You can either dispose of it or return it to the place you purchased it for a full refund.
