Frito Lay Recalling Chips in Missouri & Illinois Due to Allergies
This would be a nasty surprise if you or someone in your household has a certain allergy. Frito Lay is recalling chips available in both Missouri and Illinois because of something present that could trigger a dangerous reaction for some.
The Food and Drug Administration just released an urgent bulletin about a voluntary recall from Frito Lay due to an ingredient that could cause big issues for those with an allergy to milk. The chips that are under this recall are Chickpea Veggie Crisps from Frito Lay.
The FDA alert says these chips were shipped to "Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin."
This is what the bag looks like as shared by the FDA. The problem chips have a best if used by date of March 2024.
The problem with this batch of potato chips/crisps is they have undeclared milk. If you have an allergy to milk, you know the reaction can be terrible and actually serious for some.
