If you had to guess what vehicle models are the most stolen in Missouri for 2025, you might guess that it would be popular newer models. That would have been my guess, too. However, the truth is that none of those new car or truck models are among the most stolen in the state as the top 10 contains many surprises.

For the most up-to-date list of stolen vehicles in Missouri, I went to the National Insurance Crime Bureau statistics. They break down the thefts by state which revealed the following 10 vehicles as the most stolen in Missouri so far in 2025:

10 - Chevrolet Impala 2008 - 373 thefts

9 - Honda Accord 1997 - 389 thefts

8 - GMC Pick -Up (Full Size) 2004 - 392 thefts

7 - Toyota Camry 2007 - 399 thefts

6 - Nissan Altima 2020 - 401 thefts

5 - Jeep Cherokee/Grand Cherokee 2015 - 418 thefts

4 - Chevrolet Malibu 2020 - 438 thefts

3 - Dodge Pick -Up (Full Size) 2001 - 639 thefts

2 - Chevrolet Pick -Up (Full Size) 2005 - 1,284 thefts

1 - Ford Pick -Up (Full Size) 2004 - 2,044 thefts

Isn't it interesting that the newest model of vehicle that is among the top 10 most stolen in Missouri is a 2020 model while the fast majority are from the early 2000's. Why is that the case? The simple answer is there are many more early 2000's models in Missouri than there are the newer cars and trucks. That means many more for car thieves to go after. Someone needs to stop watching "Gone in 60 Seconds".
