Kenny Chesney Cancels Two Shows at the Sphere
Two Kenny Chesney concerts at the Sphere in Las Vegas have been canceled. The singer scrapped a pair of dates in early July but offered ticket holders a promo code for a future show, in addition to a refund.
- Kenny Chesney played his first shows at the Sphere in spring/summer 2025
- Earlier this year, he announced six new dates to go along with six previously announced shows for 2026.
- U2, the Zac Brown Band and the Eagles are among other artists to play the state-of-the-art entertainment venue.
The two canceled Kenny Chesney dates at the Sphere are July 3 and July 4. A listing at Ticketmaster confirms the move, and notes that refunds will be automatic.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal forwarded Chesney's official explanation for pulling these two dates.
Why Did Kenny Chesney Cancel Shows at the Sphere?
The Vegas newspaper shares a note Chesney sent to ticket buyers in which he recognizes the conflict a holiday show presents.
“Over the last few weeks, I’ve heard about a lot of traditions that wouldn’t be happening – because I was going to play Las Vegas over the 4th of July Weekend,” he says. “I won’t say I didn’t realize, but I will say: hearing from people I know and care about, I heard them loud and clear.”
The move means there are now nine Sphere concerts remaining on Chesney's calendar for the year. See the dates below. Tickets for the June dates are pretty sparse but a venue map at Ticketmaster shows a healthy number of tickets still available for the July dates, starting at $73 up to over $1,000.
Kenny Chesney Live at the Sphere Las Vegas Dates:
June: 19, 20, 24, 26, 27
July: 1, 8, 10, 11
The only other concert on Chesney's 2026 tour calendar is this weekend's concert at Tortuga Music Festival in Florida. Chesney's last studio album was Born (2024), featuring the hit song "Take Her Home."
