I get asked to participate in trivia contests on the regular. There are weekly groups that vie for trophies, and annual trivia fundraisers too. Pretty much every weekend there is some trivia event locally to attend. Sometimes there are competing events. Rooms filled with teams, some built to win, some built for fun. Either way that’s a lot of trivia. Whether music, tv, movie, sports or general trivia the events tend to get lost in the trivial blur anymore.

But what if the trivia was just the beginning? When you see game shows, the trivia questions are just the gateway to the game. Get enough questions right and cross a threshold, you then get to play for the prize.

Could elevating trivia to game shows be the next thing? In Illinois the experiment has begun. Whether you have a big family, a competitive group of co-workers or any larger group can work. Great Big Game Show in Oak Brook is at the Oak Brook Center Mall. With 4 studios that can take up to 14 players each. There are currently seven Great Big Game Show locations, and more planning to be opened.

There are as many as 14 mini round games to choose from where you’ll rack up points for your team in an effort to grab victory! Book early if you know you want to give Great Big Game Show a shot. You may end up playing against another group/family. Should your group be extra sized they can make that work too.
