Illinois Zoo Seals Celebrate International Seal Day by Eating It
I had no idea it was International Day of the Seal. I'm always the last to know. Seals in an Illinois zoo didn't miss the opportunity to celebrate their day by eating it. That's the best way to celebrate any day.
Leave it to Brookfield Zoo to come up with another day brightener. International Day of the Seal you say? National Day Calendar confirms that's correct. Let's celebrate by eating it. All of it.
These seals ate a variety of fish (and is that squid?). National Geographic says that while fish are the typical seal food, some will even eat penguins and other seals. Seal cannibals? That sounds like a SyFy movie waiting to happen.
If you don't already, make sure you follow Brookfield Zoo on Facebook. Seals eating everything is just the tip of the iceberg (sometimes literally) of the fun things they share daily.
