Illinois Residents Warned: Avoid These High-Risk Destinations

The Department of State is advising Illinois residents not to travel to these counties, due to these areas being high-risk destinations.

This is what the Department of State wants U.S. residents to look over before booking a flight to any country in the world. Currently, there are four Travel Advisories for the United States of America. The Travel Advisory states:

This is due to local conditions and/or our limited ability to help there. These places are dangerous and by visiting you may be putting yourself at extreme risk.

 

Tips For Traveling To These Countries

If there is no way around it and you have to travel to any of these countries the Department of State gives a few help tips on what you will need to do:

• Know where the U.S. Embassies and Consultants are located
• Make sure you know what the Department of State can and can't do
• Check the Travelers Checklist to make sure you have everything you need

Traveling anywhere is scary, just make sure you know where and when you can go to any foreign country. You don't want to put yourself or your family in any type of danger. Use this Travel Advisory extremely seriously. It could mean life or death.
