If you’re in Quincy and you hear a tornado siren Friday afternoon, don’t freak out.

The siren is merely a test. According to Quincy Fire Chief Joe Henning, the early warning siren systems are being checked this afternoon at 2:00 following some recent repairs. Tests are typically done Tuesdays at 10:00 am.

Quincy weather this afternoon is about as perfect as it gets (although a tad on the hot side). High 80s and low 90s with no rain all day long. Go enjoy it.
