Health Dept Warns of COVID Exposure at Church Conference
The Adams County Health Department has been notified of a public exposure to COVID-19 last weekend.
Officials learned the exposure came at a conference conducted by The Crossing Church June 18th and 19th.
The announcement was issued to notify individuals who may be at risk due to an exposure.
In accordance with state guidelines, the health department requires everyone who attended the conference and has not been fully vaccinated to quarantine for ten days following the last exposure.
The quarantine started June 20th and ends June 30th if no symptoms present themselves.
Again, vaccinated individuals are not required to quarantine.
Testing is warranted if an individual becomes symptomatic with any COVID-19 like symptoms including fever, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, chills, body aches, fatigue, change in taste or smell, stomach issues or sore throat.
Drive-thru COVID-19 testing will be available at the Adams County Health Department through July 23, 2021. The testing site is open Monday-Friday from 10am-1pm. The rapid and PCR COVID-19 tests are available at no cost. Rapid antibody tests are also available for an out-of-pocket cost of $10 cash.
