Hannibal School Superintendent Susan Johnson released a statement Sunday saying, quote, “Coach Quentin Hamner, Hannibal Pirates Head Football Coach has been suspended from coaching and teaching pending the review and outcome of an off campus incident that did not involve district students. Jason Noland has been named Interim Head Coach during this absence.”

On it’s website, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office reports that Hamner was arrested early Saturday morning for second degree property damage and first degree trespassing. He was released on a summons to appear at a later court date.

The Pirates are scheduled to open their season Friday night at home against Jefferson City Helias.
