Inspired by the Olympics? Learn Curling in Missouri
With the Winter Olympics getting underway, you may get into the stone sliding event called curling and think – I could do that? Perhaps you could! Get started by learning to curl at these locations in Missouri.

In St. Louis the curling club calls the Creve Coeur ice center home. They host learn to curl classes, host leagues and bonspiels (which is the Scottish term for curling tournament). You don’t need skates, or any equipment to learn how to play.
If you are on the Western side of the Show-Me state the curling club of Kansas City is located in Blue Springs, MO. They also have learning sessions, leagues, and bonspiels, but offer in addition to those beginners play sessions on specific days and event space rental so that you can have your own curling party.
Curling doesn’t seem nearly as physically demanding as the other winter Olympic events, but upon closer inspection flexibility certainly comes into play and the vigorous ice scrubbing to clear the stone's path seems quite strenuous. Grab some friends, make a team, and get into curling! You may have a latent ability yearning to emerge. Just make sure you stretch first before you pull a muscle participating.
