Forget the usual scary stuff of 2016. Forget the clowns and killers, the demons and presidential candidates. Let's go back to one of the oldest fears in human civilization: Ghosts. The fundamental aspects of Halloween, like wearing masks, carving jack-o-lanterns, having a treat ready, all stem from warding off evil spirits.

This Saturday and next, the 22nd and 29th, check out the Traditional Ghost Tour of Woodland Cemetery, hosted by the Historical Society of Quincy & Adams County. On Halloween, take the Untold Stories, Unsettled Spirits, to really crank the spookiness up to 11. Tickets for each tour are $10, and the HSQAC strongly urges you make reservations, as the tours can sell out. For more info on the Woodland Cemetery Ghost Tours, visit the Historical Society of Quincy & Adams County's website.
