Hey drive in movie fans! I know it's hard to find a drive-in in the Tri-States area, with all the still operating drive-ins a good road-trip away. But if you're looking for that first trip to a drive-in for the season, you're in luck, because the Route 66 in Springfield opens for the season this weekend, according to their Facebook page!

Route 66 has two screens, each showing a double feature. Screen number one is showing Black Panther at 8pm this weekend, A Wrinkle in Time at 10:30pm. Over on Screen two, you can catch I Can Only Imagine at 8:15pm and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle at 10:20pm. For more info, head to their website.

The Moberly Drive-In, operated by B&B Theatres, which also operates the Moberly Five and the Hannibal Main Street Cinema, is also open this weekend, showing Ready Player One. You can get showtimes and ticketing info on their website.

I say it every year, but this is the year I finally get back to a drive-in theatre. I haven't been since 2006, caught a double feature of Little Man and Talladega Nights (hey... you take what you can get. Little Man was the first film, so we intentionally showed up a little late).
