The collectible features Venditte, a member of the Yankees’ Single-A affiliate in 2008, in the iconic pinstripes derived from the Bronx Bombers with outstretched, ungloved, “springy” arms. The giveaway is scheduled for the “Baby Bombers” August 19 game against the Brooklyn Cyclones.

Venditte, a member of the Quincy Gems in 2006, was a 20th round draft pick by the Yankees in 2008 after declining a 45th round invitation the year before. A true “game changer”, MiLB introduced the “Pat Venditte Rule” which disallows a pitcher to switch arms during a single at bat. He made his Major League debut in 2015 with the Oakland Athletics. Not surprisingly, the “switch pitcher” became a beloved internet anomaly (and even taught one headline writer the difference between “ambidextrous” and “amphibious”).

The pitcher, now with the Toronto Blue Jays (who as of this writing can still not breathe underwater) had this to say about his “bobblearms”:
