Fly To Iceland From St. Louis This Fall For Less Than $100
If I learned anything from D2: The Mighty Ducks, it's that Luis Mendoza can really fly. But that's not really applicable to the content of this article. What is applicable is the OTHER thing I learned, that Greenland is covered in ice, and Iceland is very nice. Thanks, Maria, the Iceland tutor Coach Bombay was seen canoodling with. CANOODLING, I TELLS YA!
But even though Iceland were the bad guys in D2: The Mighty Ducks, their assurances that it's very nice are enough to make me want to go there. Even though they hate beach balls. Luckily I can get their on the cheap right now through WOW Air. They've announced $99 flights from eight US Airports, including St. Louis' Lambert International Airport.
Now, the $99 will get you to Reykjavik, Iceland's capital, but getting back is a different story. It's a discount airline, so there's always fine-print The return flights range from $159- $209, so round-trip you're still looking at just north of $300, which really isn't THAT bad for international travel. You'll still have to deal with baggage fees, too. But otherwise this is a really good deal to go see Wolf "The Dentist" Stansson coach hockey. He was a great player in his day, if a little violent.
Visit WOW Air's website to see available flights and deals. I even did a search myself just to see if it would work... was able to get a flight for a week stay in Iceland for $320. Not bad. Not bad at all. I'll be able to go and ask Gunner Stahl why he's fancy with his Triple Deke, going glove side instead of stick side.
