There is no reason to have this in your wallet. As long as you can remember your number there is no reason whatsoever to have your card in your wallet.

We encourage you not to carry your Social Security card with you every day.

There is a great risk of you losing your card, and having it fall out when you go to grab another credit/debit card or cash. So to ensure that your identity remains safe just take this card out right away and put it somewhere in your house where it's safe and sound.

If someone would find your social security card it would be so easy to steal your identification, and as we head into the busy shopping season you don't want that to happen. Trust me it's not easy getting your ID back and takes weeks if not months to make it all go away.

Avoid the headache, just take the card out now.
