Getting a different perspective on things you are familiar with is healthy. Should you want a whole new view of the Show-Me State, a fantastic opportunity is near. The fall BigBAM (Bike Across Missouri) begins October 5th in Clinton, Missouri and traverses to St. Charles along the Katy trail.

The ride is broken down into seven segments, one segment per day Sunday October 5 to Saturday October 11. Sunday October 5th is an opportunity to gather in Clinton before the official start on Monday. The segments vary in distances between 27 miles for the shortest one (Augusta to St. Charles), to 49 miles for the longest one (Boonville to Jefferson City).

You can opt for a one day ride, a three day ride, or the full six segments. E-bikes are also welcome for this event. The BigBAM isn’t about the quickest times overall or for segments (although I’m sure if you want to push yourself nobody will mind), it’s about getting out and enjoying the Katy trail and the state of Missouri.

Camping after each leg of the tour is a part of the event, or you can do hotel stays too. There is a shower truck that will follow along the ride so campers can stay fresh, along with available massages (!!!), a phone charging trailer and more. BigBAM will also bring your luggage to each stop (if you are riding multiple segments), and a shuttle back to Clinton if you parked your vehicle there. If you can’t make this ride BigBAM has multiple events during the riding months of the year.
