Summertime memories stick with you. 4th of July fireworks, splashing in the pool, vacations and theme parks. In Missouri there are over 30 roller coasters to climb aboard (if you are tall enough).  Each large theme park has one of the three fastest in the Show-me state.

Six Flags St. Louis – The Boss. Roaring in at 66 miles an hour the Boss is the smaller/younger wooden roller coaster at Six Flags but it races in faster than the Screamin’ Eagle.

Silver Dollar City – Outlaw Run. Timed at 68 miles per hour Outlaw run is another wooden coaster in Missouri that has that old school vibe. Some may want to board the Time Traveler at SDC. As spinning coasters go it is the pinnacle. But it only goes 50 mph. And don't miss Wildfire and Powder Keg while you're there

Worlds of Fun Kansas City – Mamba. The superlative roller coaster standard in Missouri since 1998 when it debuted. At 205 feet tall the steel Mamba reaches 75 miles an hour continues to be the peak of Missouri coasters.

Missouri is blessed with several places to ride roller coasters, and those coaster numbers are ever expanding. There will be a roller coaster zipping around next to Union Station in St. Louis soon. In many ways Missouri is a giant playground. Get out and enjoy it.
