With the beginning of the school year in Hannibal delayed until after Labor Day, Douglass Community Services is restarting its Summer Meals Program.

Starting Monday, students who had expected to be in school next week will get a free meal and snack at lunchtime.

According the Douglass Community Outreach Initiative Director Stacey Nicholas, her office got permission from USDA to provide the free meals next week to any child that needs it.

The grab and go meals will be distributed at the Douglass Community Services Food Pantry from 10:30 a.m. till noon, the Bomar Building on Munger Lane from 11 to 11:30, Spoon Creek Park from 11 to 11:30 and from Field School from 11:45 to 12:15.
