You don't have to be a seasoned veteran of the backcountry to land an epic deer in Missouri. There's photographic proof of this fact as a young Clark County girl just harvested a huge buck.

The Missouri Department of Conservation just shared this awesome moment from 8-year-old Willow Filz of Clark County, Missouri.

The buck that Willow harvested was one of 2,325 deer downed during the late youth portion of firearms deer season this past weekend in Missouri. The Missouri Department of Conservation says the top counties for deer harvests during this late season were Lincoln with 48 deer harvested, Howell with 46, and Douglas with 42. According to data shared by the state of Missouri, Clark County ended up with 29 deer harvested. Marion County had 16, Ralls County had 9 while Lewis County had 17.

Congrats to all of these young hunters on a job well done helping the state of Missouri manage the growing deer population.
