Buy A Stack Of Books At The Library’s Book Sale
Friends of the Library, who operate the Secondhand Prose used book store inside the Quincy Public Library, are hosting their annual Friends of the Library book sale. And the best part is, you don't need a library card to go book shopping.
I mean, you should have a library card anyway. And if you're gonna go buy books from the library at the book sale, you might as well get a card whilst there. It's five feet away. But I digress.
From Thursday, October 4th to Saturday the 6th, head to the Large Media room inside the Library at 526 Jersey, and pick out some great used books to read. Maybe you just want to read more. Maybe there's a specific book you're looking for and they'll just happen to have it on hand and for sale. Maybe you're a cursed nobleman with the physique of a monstrous animal trying to impress the provincial maiden you have locked captive in a tower, because you need her to fall in love with you before your 21st birthday and this is late 18th century France. Whatever your reason for hitting the book sale, just swing on through and check it out.
If you get there on Thursday, you'll have prime choice of their selection, but if you get there on Saturday, it's half-price. The sale runs 10a-6:30p on Thursday and Friday, and 10a-4:30p on Saturday. Follow the event on Facebook for updates, and visit the QPL website for info about the Library.
